Inter manager Antonio Conte has identified three things that can allow Inter to get back to the top according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The three things are hard work, the transfer market and mentality. The main challenge is not to immediately win the title but rather have a forward looking plan which will enable Inter to consolidate themselves at the top for many years.

Inter have made great strides in the past year from finishing as runners up in the Europa League and finishing second in Serie A, just one point behind champions Juventus.

Conte was proud to have overtaken Napoli last year and second place means more than just being Juventus’ closest rival considering the growth of several others like Napoli, AC Milan and Atalanta.

The report goes on to add that Conte has very clear ideas when it comes to players he wants and players he thinks will suit his side. The players must be fast, strong and resistant. In short it is the perfect description of Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante, who is deemed the best player to allow the Inter project to immediately take off.
