Inter would not think twice about paying what they did for Achraf Hakimi despite his recent struggles according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

This information, as per the report, comes from the club, who strongly wanted to sign the Moroccan national team player due to deeming him as a player perfect for Inter manager Antonio Conte’s team.

Inter paid €40 million plus €5 million in add-ons to Real Madrid and remain totally convinced about their decision to sign Hakimi and would do it all over again.

The report goes on to explain that Inter are convinced that he can have an important impact upon his return from national team duty and that he will be able to be the player seen right at the start of the season now he is getting back into shape again.

The report goes on to conclude that Real Madrid do not have a buy back option on Hakimi but will be notified of any bid made and able to match any bids. In short, Hakimi is completely Inter’s and it will be up to both themselves and the player to decide the future together.
