Aleksandar Kolarov’s condition remains unknown and has to be assessed by Inter medical staff according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Kolarov decided against playing in the EURO 2020 qualification play off final with Scotland on Thursday due to not being in the best of conditions and returned to Milan at Inter’s request a couple of days ago.

The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to explain that it cannot be ruled out that Inter manager Antonio Conte will opt to rotate the defence given the crucial upcoming Champions League clash with Real Madrid in the middle of next week.

The chances of Andrea Ranocchia playing against Torino at San Siro on Sunday afternoon are therefore on the rise.

The experienced 32-year-old has made just two appearances across all competitions to date this term, in which he has provided a single assist.
