Inter defender Aleksandar Kolarov has tested positive for COVID-19 according to a report from the online edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Serbian national team player has returned a positive test result following his most recent test and as things stand there is no further information.

Kolarov, who joined Inter for a nominal fee from fellow Serie A club Roma in the Summer transfer window, has become the third Inter player with COVID-19 right now in addition to Marcelo Brozovic and Daniele Padelli.

Inter are now pushing double digits in terms of players to have tested positive for COVID-19 with Alessandro Bastoni, Milan Skriniar, Ionut Andrei Radu, Radja Nainggolan, Ashley Young and Roberto Gagliardini all also having had COVID.

Since joining Inter, the newly turned 35-year-old, has made six appearances across all competitions to date. During his time on the park, which totals 460 minutes, he has contributed one assist.
