Inter are one of three Serie A clubs who have an interest in signing Benfica midfielder Julian Weigl according to a report from the online edition of Portuguese news outlet Record.
Weigl only joined the Portuguese powerhouses in the January transfer window for €20 million from Borussia Dortmund but wishes to leave the club having become dissatisfied with his playing time this term.
Weigl has made 10 appearances across all competitions to date this term but just three of these appearances have come as a starter and he did not even get off of the substitutes bench in their 3-2 defeat to Braga prior to the international break beginning.
The 25-year-old, who has been capped five times by the German national team, is subject to interest from Inter, AC Milan and Juventus, all of whom have different reasons for being interested in signing the former 1860 Munich player, who is contract to Benfica until the end of the 2023/24 season.
