Genoa president Enrico Preziosi is hoping for a bidding war to take place for midfield prospect Nicolo Rovella according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

A whole array of clubs have been linked with moving for the very talented Italian youth national team representative and Preziosi wants at least €15 million to part ways with the player whose contract is due to expire at the end of this season.

The report explains that Inter are currently leading the chase for Rovella’s signature and have made what is described as an important lunge for him.

Talks between Inter and Rovella’s agent Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Riso are proceeding swiftly and it is understood that Preziosi would like to sell Rovella in January but keep him on loan for at least the next 18 months.

Roma and Juventus are both also interested in signing Rovella but Roma do not have a sporting director right now whilst Juventus seem focused on other players. Inter want to keep the advantage that they have accumulated over the others in recent weeks and get their hands on Rovella, who is seen as one for the future.
