Long term Inter linked Olivier Giroud has shared his hopes of being able to play at the highest level for a further three to five years.

The veteran French national team forward, who won the 2018 World Cup with Les Bleus, has found regular playing time hard to come by at Chelsea this term with five of his six appearances to date coming from the substitutes bench.

“I do not feel diminished. When there are signs [I am getting worse], I will notice them. I will be lucid when I realize that I have lost speed and explosiveness but I hope to still have three to five years at the highest levels. This is the goal,” he explained in an interview with French news outlet France Football, which appeared in today’s print edition.

The 34-year-old is out of contract with the London based Premier League club at the end of the season and he has been strongly linked with a potential move to Inter ahead of the January transfer window with the Nerazzurri on the hunt for a new striker.

Giroud was linked to Inter last January and also in the Summer and is one of several strikers reportedly under consideration by the Nerazzurri management.
