Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud will look to leave Chelsea in the upcoming January transfer window unless his playing time changes significantly between now and then according to a report from The Athletic.
Giroud has found playing time extremely limited this season and just like last January he finds himself with only a few months left on his deal with the Premier League outfit.
The 34-year-old knows he needs to be playing regularly if he wishes to be included in France’s squad for next Summer’s European championship’s and for this reason he appears set to push to secure a move away from Stamford Bridge.
The former Arsenal and Montpellier forward has long been linked with a potential move to Inter given the Nerazzurri’s desire to add a player capable of playing as back-up to Romelu Lukaku and it remains to be seen whether Inter will move for him.
This season Giroud has made six appearances, five off which have come off the bench. He has scored one goal in his time on the pitch.
