Inter and Italian national team central midfielder Stefano Sensi has taken to photo sharing social media platform to reflect on what has been a difficult year or so for him which has seen him pick up injury after injury.

Sensi joined Inter in the Summer of 2019 in a loan with option to buy deal from Sassuolo and made a great start to life in a Nerazzurri shirt but got injured a few weeks into the season and then struggled to stay injury free which limited him to just 19 appearances across all competitions to date this term.

Sensi’s playing time this season has also been limited due to injuries with him missing six of Inter’s 10 games across all competitions due to various injury problems.

Sensi, who joined Inter on a permanent basis in the Summer transfer window, has contributed three goals and four assists in 22 games for the Nerazzurri.

The 25-year-old posted: “It was not an easy period. A series of injuries slowed down my professional career. My life. Not being able to do what I love with serenity took away my smile.

“I am a responsible person and when I fall I always do everything to get back up and come back stronger. It pisses me off not being able to make my contribution and not having been able to give my best to the club, to the staff, to our fans who have always shown respect for me.

“I am working at my best every day, I am doing my best, without breaks or excuses. It’s time to leave behind bad luck, physical problems and obstacles that forced me to stop. See you soon and Forza Inter always.”
