Nicolo Rovella is close to putting pen to paper on a contract extension with Genoa according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The highly rated Italian youth national team representative is out of contract at the end of the season but appears set to sign a new deal with the Rossoblu club, which is seen as an optimal solution for all parties.

Despite being on the verge of extending his contract, Rovella’s future is unlikely to be at the Stadio Luigi Ferrari as the report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to state that there are several clubs courting the 18-year-old sensation including Inter, AC Milan, Juventus and Roma.

Rovella, who is a product of Genoa’s academy and part of the Italy under 21 set-up, has made five appearances across all competitions to date this term but he has not managed to make any goal contributions.
