Marcelo Brozovic has some hope that he could be available for Inter for next week’s Champions League group stage clash with Real Madrid according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Brozovic recently returned to Milan from national team duty after testing positive for COVID-19 after, in all likelihood, having been infected by national team teammate Domagoj Vida.

Brozovoc returned to Milan and was subjected to another test which confirmed his positivity and whilst Brozovic has some hope that he could be back at Antonio Conte’s disposal, the report points out that he would have trained very little, if at all. As a result, him being among the starters  can be practically ruled out right now.

Brozovic is one of nine Inter players to have tested positive for COVID-19 in recent weeks and months and will miss this weekend’s league match at home to Torino.
