Paris Saint-Germain’s Leandro Paredes would be a perfect signing for Inter to make according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Argentine national team central midfielder has drawn links to Inter in recent weeks with several reports suggesting Inter and Paris Saint-Germain could do a swap deal which would see Christian Eriksen and Paredes exchanged.

Paredes has characteristics as a player that no player in Inter’s current squad has and could act both as a pure playmaker in front of the Inter defence in a 3-5-2 or as a midfielder in a 3-4-1-2 system.

The former Roma player has been playing his football in the French capital since January 2019 following a move from Russian Premier League side Zenit Saint Petersburg.

The 26-year-old, who is contracted to PSG until the end of the 2022/23 season, has made five appearances across all competitions this term but has not made any goal contributions.
