There is a difference of €2 million between Inter and Lautaro Martinez in contract extension talks according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Il Giorno.
Lautaro is currently under contract with Inter through to the end of the 2022/23 season but his current salary of €1.5 million needs to be significantly adjusted seeing as he is an undisputed starter for both Inter and the Argentine national team nowadays.
The highly rated 23-year-old striker would like his salary increased to €7 million a year as part of a new deal but Inter are meanwhile offering him a new deal worth €5 million a year.
Lautaro joined Inter back in the Summer of 2018 from Racing Club and he has since made 94 appearances across all competitions for the club, in which he has scored 35 goal and tallied 10 assists.
This season Lautaro has made 10 appearances, during which he has scored five goals and provided two assists for his teammates.
