Inter and Italian national team player Nicolo Barella has spoken on the quality of the group of players Italy have at the moment after they secured their place in the final four of the UEFA Nations League with a win over Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Italy ran out 2-0 winners away to Bosnia & Herzegovina thanks to goals from Torino’s Andrea Belotti and Sassuolo Domenico Berardi.

Due to the win, Italy find themselves in the final four of this edition of the UEFA Nations League alongside France, Spain and Belgium.

“I am at the disposal of a squad, we’ve got a great group. Manuel Locatelli, Jorginho or Marco Verratti, whoever plays, we work well together regardless,” he explained in an interview with Italian broadcaster Rai Sport after the match in the Bosnian capital of Sarajevo.

The former Cagliari player, who is into his second season with Inter now, then spoke on the importance of Inter manager Antonio Conte in his growth.

“Conte has been very important for me, as he helped me to be more organised, to read and choose the various moments of the match, so I can only thank him.”

He concluded by also praising national team boss Roberto Mancini: ““I can also only thank Roberto Mancini for putting his faith in me and I hope to keep improving.”

This season Barella has made 10 appearances across all competitions to date this term, in which he has tallied four assists.
