Real Madrid have joined the list of clubs interested in signing Liverpool central midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum according to a report from Spanish news outlet Todofichajes.com.

Dutch national team player Wijnaldum’s contract with Liverpool is due to expire at the end of this season and he has already knocked back a first contract renewal offer from the Reds, who he helped to the Premier League title last season.

Inter, AC Milan and Barcelona are interested in signing the former Newcastle United man and the report goes on to explain that rather than wait until the Summer when they could get him for nothing, Real Madrid could try and sign him in January.

The report goes on to conclude that whilst Wijnaldum is very grateful of former Netherlands and current Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman, he would like to play for Real Madrid, failing that Inter, due to the fact both sides suit his style of play.
