Inter and Lautaro Martinez and his representatives are working on a contract renewal to extend their relationship together according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The parties are working on a long term contract extension and the new contract could well be without the €111 million release clause that is present in his current contract with the club, which runs until the end of the 2022/23 season.
Inter have a real desire to extend Lautaro’s contract and guarantee him a top salary and this has contributed to Lautaro smiling on the pitch once again, the report from the Milan based news outlet adds.
After a few dark weeks on the pitch, Lautaro has recently found his scoring boots again. He scored against Real Madrid and then against Atalanta and starred whilst away on national team duty with Argentina during the most recent international break.
