Interest in soccer podcasts has exploded in the last year, with more and more football fans spending time listening to shows about their favourite sport, leagues and clubs.

Podcasts are a great way of spending your time while travelling, while on your daily commute to work or school, or while you are out jogging or at the gym.

They are also an excellent way of passing the time during days when there is no football on television or during a lockdown such as those imposed after the Coronavirus outbreak.

So what are the best podcasts in 2020 on Italian soccer and beyond? SempreInter recommends the best podcasts to subscribe to.

WHAT ARE THE BEST ITALIAN SOCCER/FOOTBALL PODCASTS?

There are a number of excellent Italian football podcasts in 2020, both those that focus on Serie A and Calcio as a whole, and those that are more club specific.

The Italian Football Podcast

Originally launched as The Serie A Show in 2019, the podcast was rebranded in 2020 as The Italian Football Podcast with the arrival of the popular Carlo Garganese, who joins SempreInter founder Nima Tavallaey and RomaPress founder John Solano as the regulars on the show.

Both entertaining and informative, The Italian Football Podcast is a twice-weekly show. The Monday podcast reviews and analyses all the action, matches, events and transfer news of the past week in Calcio.

The Thursday show is an interview with a high-profile guest from the world of Calcio. So far, in 2020-21, the podcast has interviewed Roy Hodgson, Sven-Goran Eriksson, Joe Tacopina, Jesper Blomqvist, Romeo Agresti and the boxer Paulie Malignaggi.

The podcast also provides written features, transfer exclusives and more via its patreon page, all for a cost of just €2.99 a month.

Lazio Lounge

Lazio Lounge is a weekly podcast in English, hosted by the wonderful Vittorio Campanile and Alasdair Mackenzie.
Vittorio and Alasdair are both experienced journalists and Lazio fans based in Rome with outstanding knowledge and insight on their favourite team.

StudioInter is the number one podcast in English dedicated entirely to FC Internazionale Milano – where it’s 100% Inter, 100% of the time only on SempreInter.com.

SempreInter.com’s owner and founder Nima Tavallaey hosts the weekly show, which is aired every Monday.
He is joined on the show by three or four other guests. Some of these are regular guests, such as Mohammed Nassar, Alex Donno and Will Beckman. And one guest a week is an esteemed football journalist such as Gabriele Marcotti, Mina Rzouki or David Garrido.

The show delves into all the big Inter talking points and includes a number of excellent segments such as the ‘Moratti, Moggi and Frog of the Week’.

Milan Weekly Podcast

Perhaps the best weekly podcast on the Rossoneri, the Milan Weekly Podcast is the English equivalent of the very successful Radio Rossonera.

RomaPress Podcast

Romapress.net is the number one English language news website for all things AS Roma, and the site’s editor and founder, John Solano, also produces a weekly podcast.

The podcast discusses all the big talking points going on in the Eternal City regarding matches, news and transfers.
John is one of the most well-connected sources on Roma and regularly reveals transfer exclusives, as well as inviting Roma-related guests onto his show.
