Inter defender Andrea Ranocchia is likely to start against Torino tomorrow, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how coach Antonio Conte appreciates the importance of next week’s Champions League clash against Real Madrid, and wants the strongest possible squad available to him for the fixture.

In order to rotate the defense a little, the 51-year-old Italian coach is planning to start the 32-year-old Ranocchia against the Granata tomorrow, in place of Dutch defender Stefan de Vrij, although he could also play instead of Alessandro Bastoni.

Ranocchia, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until the end of the season, has made two appearances in the league so far this season, providing one assist and helping the team keep one clean sheet in that time.

Last season he was also used lightly by Conte, appearing only 12 times across all competitions, scoring one goal.
