Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin discussed Inter coach Antonio Conte’s statements about Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen in a post on his Twitter page earlier today.

The 51-year-old Italian coach was asked why the 28-year-old Dane does not play more and if he could play in different roles, but the former Italy and Juventus coach highlighted that he has already given the player multiple chances, more than some other players.

Eriksen has failed to impress so far this season across seven appearances and 301 minutes on the pitch, failing to register a single goal contribution.

The former Tottenham midfielder seems destined to leave Milan in the upcoming January transfer window after just one year, with a possible exchange with Paris Saint-Germain’s Leandro Paredes currently being considered.

Biasin published a photo of the list of Inter players and their minutes played, alongside the caption:

“Conte: Eriksen had many opportunities, he played much more than others,

“I always hope in a miracle that will bring a great coach to an understanding with a great player for the good of Inter. But if the premise is ‘he played much more than others’, I’m afraid it will be hard.”
