A report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport has analysed Inter’s current work in the transfer market.
The report details how the Inter budget closed with a deficit of just over €100 million, limiting the moves that can be made by the club this season, although the club are interested in Liverpool’s Georginio Wijnaldum.
The Nerazzurri are interested in Torino’s Bremer to strengthen the defense, a player more preferable than another Granata center back, Armando Izzo.
The Brazilian can play in both a back three and four and his versatility could be important for coach Antonio Conte. Torino are not keen to lose him, however.
Inter are also interested in Genoa’s 18-year-old midfielder Nicolò Rovella, whose contract expires at the end of the season, the report continues.
The Nerazzurri want to sign him on a free transfer but will be facing competition from Juventus. They could look to sign him next summer and loan him back to Genoa, in order to gain more playing time and experience.
Other players who could be signed as free transfers include Napoli’s Arkadiusz Milik and Nikola Maksimović, although neither are likely to arrive in January.
Finally, in the attack Olivier Giroud is again an option, as he’s looking to leave Chelsea in order to play more regularly. His deal expires at the end of this season.
The alternative to him is Parma’s Gervinho, but only if the Emilian side would accept Andrea Pinamonti in exchange.
