Jiangsu Suning forward Eder, who previously played for Inter, spoke about his career in China, coach Antonio Conte and his memories of the Nerazzurri in an interview in today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

“We have beaten the invincible Juventus of China, now I hope that Conte will push Inter to do the same in Serie A. It would be a double dream for the Zhang family.

“They deserve it, they are special. I’d say this also for the way they helped me to enter Nanjing.”

He commented on the greatest reward for winning the league title with Jiangsu Suning.

“The embrace of my little Helena that I am enjoying in Criciuma near Porto Alegre with my wife Luciana and Eduardo. Covid in 2020 has subjected us to particular sacrifices.

“I left my family in Brazil, also because the team, like everyone, has been in training camp since August, since the season started again.”

He touched on how his contract expires with the Chinese club at the end of this season.

“A decision must be made soon. My agent will discuss it with the Chinese management.”

The 34-year-old Italian Brazilian spoke about any offers that he’d received from Italian clubs.

“I thank Iachini who wanted me in Florence, nothing could be done. Now new choices are appearing and I want to play.”

Eder was not concerned about his age and still thinks that he can compete with the best.

“The examples of CR7, Ibra and Quagliarella show that it is all a matter of mentality.

“You have to sacrifice yourself and I feel like doing three more years at a high level.”

He spoke about some of his first memories in Italy.

“I arrived at 18 years old and I still remember Mrs. Alessandra who welcomed me in her hotel in Vinci.

“With my wife, the question of whether to stay for the rest of my life in this country often comes up, which I now feel is a little bit mine. Maybe in Milan, the center of everything.”

Finally, Eder spoke about some of his memories of Inter.

“I left many friends and good memories. Now there is Conte, a great coach, he taught me a lot on the National team. Just like Mihajlovic and Giampaolo, who gave me important help.”

Eder spent two years with Inter from 2016 to 2018, joining from Sampdoria after spending four years in Liguria.

He made 86 appearances for the Nerazzurri across all competitions, for a total of 3762 minutes. In that time, he scored 14 goals and provided eight assists.
