Former Serie A referee Luca Marelli discussed Inter’s 4-2 comeback win over Torino and the two penalties awarded by the referee Federico La Penna in an interview on the Italian radio show ‘Tutti Convocati’ earlier today.

“The touch on Singo’s chest is quite evident, when it was reviewed giving the penalty was an absolutely clear decision and for me it was a penalty.”

He also commented on the penalty awarded to the Nerazzurri in the 84th minute, that gave them the third goal.

“What Nkoulou did could be qualified as a deflection or an act of play, there are no other options, it can’t be anything else other than an act of play given the dynamics and it putting everyone into play.

“Therefore, with what Nkoulou did, it put Hakimi back into the play.”

Inter’s win means that they are now one point behind rivals Juventus in the league table, after eight games played. The Milanese club need to recover after a slow start to the season, with their last win prior in Serie A coming a month ago against Genoa.

The Nerazzurri are now looking ahead to their next game against Spanish giants Real Madrid next week, a key clash for Antonio Conte’s side.

Inter have not won a game yet in this European campaign, and so must win against Los Blancos if they want to progress to the next round.
