Inter coach Antonio Conte is planning to deploy a fully Italian back line against Torino today, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the 51-year-old Italian wants to rest both Milan Skriniar and Stefan de Vrij ahead of next week’s vital Champions League match against Real Madrid, a must win game if the Milanese side want to progress out of the group.

With the Slovakian defender featuring heavily during the international break, and the Dutchman also featuring regularly for the Netherlands, Conte wants both in top condition for next week and so will rest them against Torino today.

As such, Inter will deploy an Italian back line, with Alessandro Bastoni, Andrea Ranocchia and Danilo D’Ambrosio all lining up in front of club captain Samir Handanovic.

The 32-year-old Ranocchia has impressed this season when deployed by Conte, showing his ability to be a strong alternative at the back.
