Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini discussed the upcoming league clash against Torino and the need to rotate the squad in an interview with Italian broadcaster InterTV before the game.

“Torino are an excellent team, who have earned less points than they deserve. We have a tough game ahead of us, we must enter the pitch determined to bring home the three points.”

The 26-year-old Italian midfielder, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2023, then touched on the team’s busy schedule and the need to make rotations.

“We are expecting to play ten games between now and Christmas, there will be room for everyone to try to help the team.”

Finally, Gagliardini discussed Marcelo Brozovic’s absence in an interview with Italian broadcaster DAZN after the game.

“I don’t think there is a player who influences the way we play. We play the same way, we adapt to everyone.”

Gagliardini has made five appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 239 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and provided one assist.

The player missed four games across the league and Champions League after testing positive for Covid-19, but has since recovered and is fully fit.

Inter’s opponents Torino have had a poor star to the season. The Granata, under the guidance of Marco Giampaolo, are currently 17th in the league after seven games, sitting with five points.

The Turin based side have only won once this campaign, against fellow strugglers Genoa.

A win for the Nerazzurri is crucial today as it would allow coach Antonio Conte and the squad to carry that momentum to next week’s crucial Champions League clash against Real Madrid, a must win if the team want to progress out of the group stages.
