Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi will not join the squad for today’s clash against Torino but is hoping to return by next weekend’s fixture against Sassuolo, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 25-year-old Italian midfielder, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2024, has been struggling with muscle problems this season, forcing him to miss six games across all competitions.

He is still not fit enough to join the squad for today’s game against Torino, the report continues, but is hoping to be included in the squad list for next weekend’s match against his former club Sassuolo.

Sensi will return to squad training tomorrow and will continue his recovery, hoping to earn some minutes in his former home, the Mapei Stadium.

Last season, Sensi showed exciting signs at the beginning of the campaign, scoring three league goals and providing four assists in the first six games. The rest of his season was hampered by various injuries.
