Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema remains in doubt for the Spanish side’s upcoming Champions League clash against Inter, according to a report from Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb earlier today.

The report details how the 32-year-old French striker, who is contracted to Los Blancos until 2022, is currently training alone and waiting to recover his fitness, ahead of next week’s European commitment against Antonio Conte’s Nerazzurri.

The former Olympique Lyon striker did not play against Villarreal yesterday and did not join the squad training session, with his physical condition still in doubt after an injury suffered against Valencia before the international break.

Benzema has made 11 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 927 minutes. In that time, he has scored six goals and provided three assists.

The game against Real Madrid is a must win match for the Nerazzurri, who have currently failed to achieve a single win this season in the competition.
