Achraf Hakimi’s agent Ajeandro Camano has stated his belief that his client needs a little more time until he can show the best version of himself.
Hakimi made a great start to life in an Inter shirt with him scoring one goal and grabbing two assists in his first two appearances for the club but he has struggled to perform at that same level in the time since and this downturn in form has in fact coincided with a poor run of form for the Nerazzurri.
“To see the best Hakimi we have to wait a little longer,” he explained in an interview with Italian radio station Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, earlier on today.
“He is settling in, Italian football is complicated but he is already showing his qualities. He has speed and technique.”
Camano then revealed that there was a possibility that his client could have ended up joining Inter’s fellow Serie A side Napoli.
“Napoli looked at him but now he is at Inter who are a great team. Giuntoli sees football very well. We talked about the possibility of bringing both Hakimi and Mayoral to Naples.
“They were young players from Real Madrid that the Napoli director was already keeping an eye on.”
Hakimi joined Inter in a deal worth a total of €45 million from Real Madrid in the Summer transfer window. He has since went on to represent the club on 10 separate occasions, during which he has scored one goal and provided three assists for his new teammates.
