Inter manager Antonio Conte has revealed that he and the Inter team are well aware just how good a team Real Madrid are ahead of tomorrow evening’s Champions League group stage match with them.

Tomorrow’s meeting at San Siro will be the second meeting of the two sides in the group stage of this year’s edition of the competition. The two sides met on match day three in Madrid and the hosts ran out 3-2 winners on that occasion.

“We will face a very strong team. In the first leg we saw that we can play with our weapons, managing to be more attentive and focused,” he explained in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was broadcast a short time ago.

The former Juventus and Italian national team boss proceeded to share his confidence in his team and called for improvement.

“I am convinced that we will play a great match. I’ve always talked about the importance of increasing everyone’s responsibility. We can and must improve.”

Conte then concluded by discussing something that his Inter side have shown too much of at this early stage of the season and what Inter need to have to be a great team.

“There has been too much discontinuity. A team that wants to aspire to be competitive cannot afford to go two goals down. The great teams have stability and our opponents must feel it.”
