Inter and Alessandro Bastoni and his representatives have come to an agreement over a contract renewal according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Libero.

Bastoni’s current contract with the club runs until 2023 but an agreement has been reached over a new five year contract that will see his current salary substantially raised to €2.5 million a year.

Whilst there is an agreement between all the parties, the new Italian national team player has not put pen to paper on the contract but he will sign it before Christmas and it could be made official in the next few weeks.

The highly rated 21-year-old joined Inter back in the Summer of 2017 and had his first team breakthrough at Inter last season and has continued to go from strength to strength.

This season the former Atalanta player has made eight appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has provided a single assist.
