Inter president Steven Zhang has revealed that they will work tirelessly in order to take Inter back to the top of the footballing world.
“The stronger the Chinese-Italian friendship, the more favourable this link will be to the coordinated development of companies in the two countries,” he explained to the gathered journalists on the sidelines of an event celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Italy and China.
“Suning is willing to agree that people with noble ideals work together to create the future and will guide Suning International to further consolidate its in-depth collaboration with Italian brands, further strengthening the economies of China and Italy.
The 29-year-old Chinese businessman, who is the youngest president in Inter’s history, then spoke on Suning’s plans for Inter.
“At the same time, our group will continue to promote the diligent management of Inter and will work tirelessly with the team to bring Inter back to the top. ”
Chinese e-commerce giants Suning bought Inter from Indonesian tycoon Erick Thohir back in the Summer of 2016 and have invested hundreds of millions into Inter and have broken the club’s transfer record on several occasions during their ownership. They have also helped Inter to become more competitive again.
Zhang has been Inter’s president for little over two years now with him being appointed back in October 2018. He is also part of both the European Club Association and the UEFA Club Competitions Committee.
