In an interview with Inter’s official matchday programme for tonight’s match versus Real Madrid, Inter striker Lautaro Martinez has spoken on a range of topics, starting with his childhood football idol.

“My childhood idol was Falcao, as I child I admired him when he played at River Plate. I got to know him in the Copa America, playing against his Colombian team, and I asked him to swap shirts,” he explained.

He then spoke on one of his other loves aside from football: “One of my greatest passions is basketball. I like to follow it and as a child I used to play a lot with my brother Jano. Manu Ginobili comes from Bahia Blanca where I was born.”

The Argentine national team player then went on to discuss the first tattoo that he got, a tattoo that has a significant meaning behind it.

“My first tattoo has great meaning, and I got it early in my life. When I was 14-years-old I decided to get a tattoo of my grandfather’s name.”

The highly rated 23-year-old Argentine national team player then spoke on what he is like in the kitchen and what his favourite dish to eat is.

“In the kitchen I am king of the asado! But my favourite dish to eat is ‘Pastel de papa’, a classic Argentinian recipe with potatoes, meat and many other ingredients.”

He then spoke on what the birth of his daughter will mean to him when she is born in the coming months: “When I score and the team wins I am really happy.

“As far as my private life is concerned, I know that one of the greatest joys will be the birth of my daughter Nina.”

In conclusion, the former Racing Club player named his all time Inter five a side team and chose the following players: Julio Cesar, Walter Samuel, Javier Zanetti, Esteban Cambiasso and Diego Milito.
