Inter’s Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez are not just a phenomenal pair but are also a talismanic tandem according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

When both Lukaku and Lautaro score, Inter always win. This has happened on 11 occasions since the start of last season and most recently happened this past weekend when Inter came from 2-0 down to beat Torino 4-2.

With the Belgian and Argentine playing together, it makes it difficult for opposition but the report does raise concerns regarding the lack of valid alternatives to the pair of them.

Whilst Inter do have Alexis Sanchez in the squad, the Chilean national team player now feels more at ease playing as an attacking midfielder rather than playing as a striker.

This season Lukaku and Lautaro have combined for 15 goals between them thus far. Lukaku has scored nine goals in nine appearances to date whilst Lautaro has six goals in 11 games.
