Borussia Monchengladbach attacker Breel Embolo believes that he and his teammates have a chance of picking up more points in their final two UEFA Champions League group stage against Inter and Real Madrid.

The Bundesliga club are currently sitting at the top of group B after four games played with them having picked up eight points from a possible 12. Two of these points have come from draws with both Inter and Real Madrid.

Marco Rose’s side are due to play host to Inter this coming Tuesday at Borussia Park and could secure themselves a place in the next round if they are to beat Antonio Conte’s side, who are currently sitting at the bottom of group B with just two points.

Gladbach will then face Real Madrid away from home on Wednesday 9 December in the final group stage game which will in all likelihood determine who finishes first in the group.

“We’ve now got two more games left in the Champions League. We did well in the first meetings against Inter and Real, now we have the chance to pick up more points against them or perhaps even win,” Embolo explained in an interview with Borussia Monchengladbach’s official website.
