Inter have taken to photo sharing social media platform Instagram to pay tribute to the late Diego Armando Maradona, who passed away yesterday aged 60.
The legendary former Argentine national team player, who led the Albiceleste to World Cup glory, perhaps most famously played for Napoli between the mid 1980s and early 1990s, during which time he brought great success to the Naples based club.
Following his playing career Maradona managed several clubs and also managed the Argentine national team between 2008 and 2010.
Inter posted: “CIAO DIEGO. Every era has had great number 10s, but very few have defined an era. Maradona wasn’t just a great opponent, he was the greatest. Ciao, Diego.”
