Inter vice-president Javier Zanetti has taken to photo sharing social media platform Instagram to pay tribute to the late Diego Armando Maradona, who passed away on Wednesday afternoon aged 60.
Maradona is widely regarded as one of the greatest football players of all time if not the greatest one. He played for the likes of Boca Juniors, Barcelona and perhaps most famously Napoli.
After his playing career, Maradona also managed several clubs and also spent a period in charge of the Argentine national team.
Zanetti posted: “I chose this photo because it reflects the happiness I felt the day I shared a football field with you! Thanks for the football! Thank you for everything you gave us. Rest in peace, Diego.”
