Arturo Vidal is said to be heftily fined by Inter after he was sent off in last night’s UEFA Champions League group stage loss at home to Real Madrid according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The Summer transfer window recruit was given his marching orders by referee Anthony Taylor just after the half hour mark in the match at San Siro.
Vidal was given two yellow cards in quick succession for dissent after he complained to Taylor after not awarding Inter a penalty that Vidal was clearly adamant that Inter should have had.
Vidal was brought to Inter from Barcelona and was expected to be a decisive player for the Nerazzurri club but this has not been the case thus far for him. Inter manager Antonio Conte wanted Vidal to be signed at all costs but Vidal is yet to repay the former Italian national team boss.
