Matias Vecino has taken to photo sharing social media platform Instagram to share that he is nearing a complete recovery from his injury that has kept him on the sidelines for the past few months.

The Uruguayan national team player underwent surgery to correct a knee injury near the end of last season and missed the end of last season and has also not been able to play whatsoever for the Nerazzurri club this season.

Vecino has posted a video of himself working on a treadmill as he continues with the recovery process and captioned the post with: “I wanted to thank the Cugat Institute and Fisiobox for all this time together. It has been a pleasure to work with you in this recovery phase. Thanks for your commitment and dedication. The worst is over, now the final sprint awaits me and I will be back on the pitch soon!”

The 29-year-old joined Inter in the Summer of 2017 from fellow Serie A club Fiorentina and is under contract with the club through to the end of next season.

Since his arrival at the San Siro, Vecino has made 96 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 11 goals and provided six assists for his teammates.
