Inter president Steven Zhang has complete trust in coach Antonio Conte, despite the rough start to the season, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the Chinese businessman highlighted his trust in the 51-year-old Italian coach in yesterday’s shareholders meeting, believing him to be the perfect leader for the club currently.

The relationship between Conte and Zhang is incredibly strong, as a result of the good work carried out by Conte since his arrival last year.

Arriving in the Europa League final last season also strengthened the pair’s relationship, and their meeting at the end of the season confirmed the 51-year-old Italian’s role at the club.

The results of this meeting can be seen, with Conte approaching press conferences and interviews more calmly compared to last campaign.

Inter are currently fifth in the league after eight games, and face second place Sassuolo this afternoon.
