Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan has suffered slight muscle fatigue and seems destined to leave the club in the upcoming January transfer window, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the 32-year-old Belgian midfielder, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2022, has suffered muscle fatigue in his right leg, forcing him to spend a few days in recovery, although this is not a concern to coach Antonio Conte.

Nainggolan was incredibly close to a move to fellow Italian side Cagliari this summer transfer window, where he spent last season on loan, but a deal failed to materialise, leaving the Belgian in Milan.

The former Roma midfielder has made five appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 45 minutes, showing how little trust Conte has in the player.

Last campaign, Nainggolan scored six goals and provided seven assists in 29 games for Cagliari.
