Former AC Milan midfielder Massimo Donati discussed Inter and Juventus’ attitudes this season, and AC Milan’s chances of winning the league title in an interview with the Italian Football Podcast earlier today.

“A couple of weeks ago I watched Udinese vs AC Milan live at the stadium and Ibrahimovic scored. His presence and personality are fantastic and the influence and example he has for his teammates, he is like Maldini.

“He is even more influential than Maldini in a way because he is not just a defender but a striker who scores goals. I don’t know how it is possible that he is doing what he is doing at 39 because I am 39 also and I can tell you it’s impossible for me to try to do anything like he does.

“But there is only one Ibrahimovic in the world and it is good for Milan.”

The 39-year-old Italian, who also played in Scotland with Celtic, touched on how he thinks the Rossoneri can look to win the league title this season.

“Yes, I think they can win. It is a strange season, no fans, the Covid-19 situation, they have no pressure to win the league which is very important because they have a very young team.

“The season is long, they are a young and solid team who run a lot, they have a good coach, they have Ibrahimovic, who is also a coach on the pitch.”

Finally, Donati commented on the Bianconeri’s and Nerazzurri’s attitudes in this season.

“The other big teams like Juventus and Inter, they don’t seem to have the same attitude as in past seasons.”

Inter’s 3-0 win over Sassuolo means that they are now second in the league table after nine games, sitting on 18 points, five behind the Rossoneri.

Their next game in Serie A is against 10th place Bologna next weekend, an important game as coach Antonio Conte looks to shake off the sluggish start to the season.

The Milanese club will face German side Borussia Monchengladbach in a vital Champions League fixture next week.

The game is a must win for the Nerazzurri if they want to try and qualify for the next round of the competition, considering that they currently sit bottom of their Champions League group.
