Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen is waiting for the upcoming January transfer window so he can leave the Nerazzurri, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The report details how CEO Beppe Marotta all but confirmed yesterday that the 28-year-old Danish midfielder would be leaving the club in the upcoming transfer window, should the right offers arrive.
Eriksen has failed to adapt to coach Antonio Conte’s tactical system since arriving from Premier League side Tottenham in the January transfer window earlier this year, in a deal costing €20 million.
The 28-year-old Danish midfielder again only played a handful of minutes yesterday, and has not played a full 90 minutes all season so far.
The player is ready to leave Inter in January, but it’s still unclear which clubs will look to invest in him and if he likes that option.
The Nerazzurri would then look for a replacement, instead picking a more defensive option.
