Inter striker Lautaro Martinez wants around quadruple his current wages amidst interest from Premier League side Manchester City, according to a report from British tabloid the Sun yesterday.

The report details how the 23-year-old Argentine striker, who is contracted to the Milanese club until 2023, currently earns around €1.5 million net per season and wants a salary of €8 million net if he is to sign a contract renewal with the Nerazzurri.

Man City are incredibly interested in signing him and are preparing a club record £98 million transfer to secure the player’s signature.

They believe that he is the perfect replacement for the aging Sergio Aguero, whose contract expires with the Sky Blues at the end of this season.

Meetings are now scheduled between Inter and Lautaro regarding a contract renewal, but the player is not happy to be one of the lowest paid stars in the squad.

Lautaro has scored six goals and provided three assists in 13 appearances so far this season.
