Inter striker Lautaro Martinez was the best player on the pitch in the Nerazzurri’s 3-0 win over Sassuolo yesterday, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 23-year-old Argentine striker, who is contracted to the Milanese club until 2023, received a 7.5 rating for his strong performance, despite not finding the back of the net.

Lautaro provided the assist for Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez’s opener only four minutes into the game.

Club captain Samir Handanovic received the lowest rating for an Inter player with 6.0, having little to do but being satisfactory when needed.

A 7.0 rating was given to coach Antonio Conte, Milan Skriniar, Matteo Darmian, Nicolo Barella, Alexis Sanchez and Roberto Gagliardini, whilst a 6.5 rating was awarded to Stefan de Vrij, Alessandro Bastoni, Arturo Vidal and Ivan Perisic.

The Nerazzurri’s win put them second in the table, two points behind leaders AC Milan, who play Fiorentina today.
