Inter shook off their demons and performed well as a team against Sassuolo yesterday, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The report details how the Milanese club played with a concentration and determination that was often lacking this campaign, compared to last year, and they played well as a team.
Coach Antonio Conte did not think that the win was their best performance of the season so far, rightly so considering their games against Lazio and their first meeting with Real Madrid at the start of this month.
Yesterday Sassuolo had over 60% of the possession, but Inter remained focused and secured the win, even keeping a clean sheet.
It was also an important game to show that Inter do not need Romelu Lukaku to secure three points, a fact that did not seem certain a month ago.
The Milanese club are now second in the table, ahead of Juventus and only two points behind AC Milan.
