Inter could move to sign Udinese’s Rodrigo de Paul in the January transfer window if Christian Eriksen is sold according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The Argentine national team central midfielder has long been linked with a potential move to Inter and Inter could finance a move for him with funds raised through the sale of under-performing Eriksen.

Eriksen joined Inter in a circa €20 million deal from Tottenham Hotspur last January but has struggled to live up to expectations and speculation is rife in the media that he will leave the club.

Inter would ultimately prefer to sell him outright than do a swap deal unless there is a guarantee that he will be signed outright.

Paris Saint-Germain have been linked and could offer Leandro Paredes whilst Inter and Arsenal could exchange Eriksen and Granit Xhaka although such a deal would appear to rule out the possibility of N’Golo Kante arriving.

Inter could also look at Real Madrid and Manchester United as clubs who they could potentially set-up swap deals with for Eriksen.
