Inter’s focus in the January transfer window will be trying to sign a new striker according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Inter have been seeking a player capable of being the deputy to star man Romelu Lukaku for some time now and ahead of the January transfer window they have identified two players who they feel could fulfil this role.

The first of these players is Napoli’s Arkadiusz Milik. The Polish national team forward, who has been frozen out this term, is out of contract at the end of this season. Despite his contract being close to expiring, Napoli still want €18 million, which is more or less the same money that Napoli owe Inter for Matteo Politano.

The second player who has been identified as a potential vice-Lukaku is Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud. Giroud is out of contract at the end of this season and the report explains that Inter could try and set-up a similar deal to the one that they signed Ashley Young from Manchester United in last January transfer window.
