A contract renewal for Inter central midfielder Roberto Gagliardini is on the club’s agenda according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

The Italian, who joined Inter back in 2017, is already under contract with the club through to the end of the 2022/23 season and the report states that in the coming months he could sign a new deal with the club who count on him.

Inter manager Antonio Conte focuses on Gagliardini, who brings important qualities to the team, qualities that he has also showcased when representing the Italian national team.

Gagliardini, who arrived at Inter from fellow Serie A club Atalanta, has made 112 appearances across all competitions to date since joining Inter, in which he has contributed 13 goals and tallied five assists.

This season Gagliardini has made eight appearances and in his time on the park, which totals just under 500 minutes, he has scored two goals and provided a single assist.
