Inter beat Sassuolo in Serie A action this past weekend with thanks to four decisions Inter manager Antonio Conte made according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Conte’s Nerazzurri ran out comfortable 3-0 winners away to the Neroverdi on Saturday and the first move that Conte made that proved decisive was the inclusion of Matteo Darmian at right wing-back. The Italian brought solidity and experience in the defence.

The role Conte chose to play Nicolo Barella in meant that the Italian national team player was also able to provide solidity whilst Milan Skriniar was once against decisive at the back.

The fourth decisive move made by Conte was including Alexis Sanchez in the starting line-up. The Chilean national team player scored for the second consecutive game.

The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to add that there are four particular players who have contributed to Inter playing like never before this season.

The first of these players is club captain Samir Handanovic. Whilst far from vocal, Handanovic has a positive approach and experience that leads him to evaluate situations calmly.

Andrea Ranocchia also plays a leader-like role in the dressing room despite the fact he barely plays. Ranocchia is the longest serving player at Inter at the moment and is a recognisable face in group talks.

Summer transfer window recruit Arturo Vidal is also deemed as a leader by his teammates whilst Romelu Lukaku is one too.

Lukaku, as per Gazzetta dello Sport, is the number 9 that his predecessor Mauro Icardi never was. Lukaku has made himself respected with the facts and in the attack he plays alongside Lautaro Martinez, who has personality, even off the pitch.
