Marcelo Brozovic could find himself back in the Inter starting line-up in tomorrow’s penultimate UEFA Champions League group stage match versus Borussia Monchengladbach according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Brozovic has missed Inter’s past three games due to COVID-19 and after Saturday’s match versus Sassuolo Brozovic provided a negative molecular test result which is enough for UEFA as far as allowing players to play is concerned.

Given Radja Nainggolan’s injury and Arturo Vidal’s suspension, Brozovic, who last played for Inter on November 8, could be thrust right into the starting line-up against the Bundesliga outfit.

Brozovic could play alongside Roberto Gagliardini and Nicolo Barella in the Nerazzurri midfield. There is also Stefano Sensi, who has played 17 minutes in the past two matches and Christian Eriksen, who has played nine minutes across the last two matches.

The report goes on to add that Inter’s defence will consist of Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij and Alessandro Bastoni whilst Achraf Hakimi and Ashley Young will be the wing-backs. Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez will meanwhile be the starting strikeforce.
