A portion of Borussia Monchengladbach fans made an attempt to disrupt Inter ahead of tonight’s UEFA Champions League group stage between the sides during the early hours of this morning according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was broadcast a short time ago.

Some fans of the Bundesliga club gathered outside of the hotel where Inter are staying whilst in Germany and at 4am local time, they began to set off fireworks, which awakened the players and unfortunately caused some damage to the hotel that the club are currently residing in.

No Inter players were harmed by the Gladbach fans’ actions and a Police investigation has already been opened up over the disturbance.

The report goes on to explain that the club’s bus driver Patrizio was the only staff member to get up and see what was going on and make sure that the club’s bus was fine.
